WHAT WE OFFER

The Program

We offer vein screening and vein consultations, where we perform, clinical exams, ultrasound exams, and a thorough clinical assessment.
Once we find the cause of the patient’s symptoms is truly venous and not lymphatic, not cardiac and not inflammatory, then we recommend a treatment plan. Varicose veins can be due to a superficial cause, a deep venous cause or both. We offer a comprehensive treatment plan by using one or a combination of techniques tailored to your symptoms and types of veins.

Our latest state-of-the-art, minimally invasive treatments to address various vein and vascular concerns include:

Ultrasound-guided Radio-frequency ablation

Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)—also known as Radiofrequency Closure is a minimally invasive procedure. Using advanced technology, it treats venous reflux (chronic venous insufficiency), the root cause of varicose veins and symptoms like achy, tired legs.

Performed in our office under local anesthesia, the procedure takes about 30 minutes. With ultrasound guidance, a thin catheter is inserted into the diseased vein to deliver radiofrequency energy, gently heating the vein wall to close it. Once sealed, blood reroutes to healthy veins, improving circulation with minimal discomfort and quick recovery.

Ultrasound-guided laser ablation

Under local anesthesia and after identifying the abnormal vein with ultrasound, a tiny laser fiber is inserted into the vein using ultrasound guidance. The laser is activated, and the fiber is slowly withdrawn, closing the incompetent vein as it is pulled out. The entire non-surgical varicose vein procedure takes less than an hour, and patients can return home afterward, virtually pain-free.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment that involves injecting a solution into affected veins, causing them to collapse and fade as blood reroutes to healthier veins. It effectively treats varicose and spider veins, improving both appearance and symptoms like aching, swelling, and burning. Results appear within weeks, though multiple sessions may be needed for optimal outcomes.

Phlebectomy

Phlebectomy (also known as microphlebectomy, ambulatory phlebectomy, or stab avulsion) is a technique used to remove varicose veins. In this procedure, several tiny incisions are made in the skin through which the varicose vein is removed. Stitches are usually not required. It is performed in our office under light sedation with local anesthesia. Phlebectomy may be done in conjunction with other treatments for varicose veins, including ligation and stripping, laser treatment, or radiofrequency treatment.

Spider vein treatment

Spider veins are small veins typically visible on the surface of the skin in the lower extremities. They are usually caused by abnormal venous flow in the larger veins and, despite their appearance, are often asymptomatic. The most common and effective treatment is injection with sclerosing agents, which scar and close the veins. Laser surgery is also an option.

Compression stockings and conservative Management

For individuals experiencing symptoms of venous insufficiency, such as tired and aching legs, or those who have had a vein removal procedure, we often recommend wearing compression stockings to help maintain proper blood flow and prevent or slow the onset of further venous issues.
